The National Weather Service put a Freeze Warning into effect from 2 to 8 a.m. Monday for areas south and east of Tucson. Freeze warnings are put in place when significant or widespread freezing temperatures are expected.
The freeze warning was also issued for Tuesday morning in similar areas.
Although Tucson isn't expected to see temperatures that low this week, the service says this morning was the coldest we've had since February with a recorded low of 33 degrees at the Tucson International Airport.
