A 3-year-old girl drowned Tuesday night in a pool on Tucson's southeast side, authorities say.

First responders called to the scene at about 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, found the girl unresponsive, Tucson Fire and the Tucson Police Department said.

Tucson Fire personnel were unable to resuscitate her and she was pronounced dead, authorities said.

The girl had been submerged in a community pool in the 7900 Block of South Tate Loop, near South Wilmot Road and Herman Road, they said.

No other information was released.
