Last weekβs recipient: Miguel Figueroa.
Nominated by: Lupita Cabral.
Why: Figueroa is the school safety resource officer at Cholla High School. He genuinely cares about the studentsβ futures, wrote Cabral in her nomination letter. He stops and asks students about what their plans are after high school and ofter helps them with their college or job applications. He has become an expert at helping them fill out their applications for student financial aid. Figueroa goes out of his way to make students feel important, Cabral wrote.
