Chocolate bomb at Café a La C'Art

The chocolate bomb is chocolate cake with a scoop of chocolate mousse, robed in ganache, rolled in shaved chocolate and topped with drizzled chocolate.

Dessert lovers, rejoice! Best Things Arizona has included two Tucson spots on their list of best dessert places in the state.

Neither are new locations, so longtime Tucsonans are probably familiar with their tasty treats.

First on the list is Chocolate Iguana, a candy and dessert shop located in the heart of Fourth Avenue.

"This beloved dessert spot has a cozy atmosphere, wide ranging menu, and of course, delicious treats," Best Things says. "They carry made from scratch and freshly baked items like cookies, brownies, cheesecakes, croissants, and scones."

In case you want to drink your dessert, Chocolate Iguana also makes ice cream shakes and espresso drinks.

The next Tucson spot to make the list is Café a La C'Art, a restaurant attached to the Tucson Museum of Art.

"It has old-timey charm, a garden patio, and of course, delicious desserts," Best Things says. "Café a la Cart’s in-house pastry chef makes legendary creations like the mixed berry buttermilk cake and chocolate bomb."
