Fire crews from the Northwest Fire District responded to a small building fire just before 7 p.m. Friday.
Multiple emergency calls were received about the fire coming from Ponderosa Cactus, a plant nursery in the 1800 block of West Wetmore Road, according to a fire district press release.Β
When the crews arrived at the location, fire could be seen coming from the rear of the building.Β
Hoselines were deployed and the fire was quickly extinguished by the crew, the release said.Β Both directions of travel were shut down due to the response.
The fire destroyed a small building and patio at the plant nursery, according to a fire district tweet.
TheΒ business was closed and no workers or staff were at the location during the fire.
Fire investigators are looking into what caused the fire. The eastbound roadway near North Record Place was cleared of safety equipment and reopened for travel.
