Much of Old Tucson Studios burned to the ground in a devastating fire on April 24, 1995. The first firefighters on the scene were no match for the tinder-dry buildings on the Western movie set. The arson fire caused an estimated $10 million in damage to 70 percent of the structures on 70 acres in the park just west of the Tucson Mountains.
