Several bolts of lightning strike the northeastern Rincon Mountains, part of the tail end of a monsoon storm that just skirted the city, Friday, August 4, 2017, Tucson, Ariz.

A weather disturbance from northern Mexico is headed into the southern part of the state and dry air is pushing into western Arizona, a combination that will act as a focus for shower and thunderstorm development.

In other words, expect scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms today and tomorrow across southeast Arizona.
