A motorcyclist died a day after being struck in a wreck Sunday on Tucson's east side, police say.
Raymond Gordon Brown, Jr., 60, was riding his motorcycle about 3:30 p.m. on North Pantano Road near East Speedway when he made a sudden stop in the roadway and was rear-ended by a 2019 Toyota Tundra driven by an unidentified 57-year-old man, police said in a news release.
Investigators say a dog being walked with a leash may have stepped into the road just prior to the collision.
Brown died Monday at a hospital, police said.
Police said Brown had a motorcycle endorsement associated with his driverâs license. He was not wearing a helmet.
The Tundra driver was cited for failure to control his speed.
The investigation continues.
