A 4-year-old boy reported missing Tuesday morning drowned in a nearby pool, authorities say.
The unidentified boy was reported missing about 9 a.m. in the 6000 block of South Plaza del Perdiz, near West Valencia Road and South Cardinal Avenue, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
Soon after arriving at the scene, deputies found the boy in a pool nearby. He was unresponsive, the release said.
The boy died later at the hospital.
The investigation continues.
