U.S. Navy Blue Angels jets fly past One World Trade Center in New York.

The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels will fly the main aerial demonstration for Davis-Monthan Air Force Base’s next Open House event, the Tucson base said Monday.

However, that event isn't scheduled until March 17-18, 2018.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performed at this year’s edition of D-M’s biannual open house in March.

The Blue Angels, based at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, is the Navy’s flight demonstration squadron, with aviators from the Navy and Marines. The Blue Angels last performed at Davis-Monthan in March 2007, according to D-M.

The squadron’s six demonstration pilots currently fly the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, typically in more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each year, according to the Navy.
