Three services will be held next week to honor Tucson Congressman Raúl Grijalva.
Grijalva, a Congress member since 2003, died Thursday of complications from cancer treatment. He was 77.
A rosary service will be held Tuesday, March 25, at St. John Catholic Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. The service will run from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass is planned at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave.
A celebration of life will follow from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at El Casino Ballroom, 437 E. 26th Street, his daughter and Pima County Supervisor Adelita Grijalva announced on Facebook. She said that streaming options are being looked into for those who cannot attend the services in-person.
“In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Raúl M. Grijalva Scholarship,” she said, through grijalvalegacyfund.funraise.org.
The primary election for Arizona Congressional District 7 will be July 15. The general election will be Sept. 23, Gov. Katie Hobbs announced Friday.

The heavily Democratic district, anchored by a chunk of Tucson, spans much of Southern Arizona, Yuma and parts of central Arizona.
The registration deadline to vote is June 16 for the primary. Early voting begins June 18.
The deadline to register for the general election is Aug. 25.
Candidates have until April 14 to file to run for the congressional seat and begin collecting nominations signatures.
Independent candidates, who only run in the general election, must file using an “Independent Nomination Petition,” which is also due by April 14.
Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, who was anticipated to be a contender for the post, said Friday she will not run for the seat.
On Saturday, Adelita said on Facebook that she will announce her decision on whether to seek her father’s former office after funeral services.
So far, 10 people have filed a statement of interest in running for the seat in the primary election, according to the Secretary of State’s office.
