Leo, the newest member of the Crisis Canine team atΒ Pima County Sheriff's Department, celebrates his graduation from puppy training school.Β
If your need an extra dose of cuteness today, look no further than the Pima County Sheriff's Department's therapy dog, Leo.
Or to be specific, the pup's new Instagram account.
Leo, a 7-month-old yellow Labrador retriever, was deputized as the sheriff department's first therapy dog this past fall.
He is on the Mental Health Support Team unit with Detective Shawn Degan, where he is being trained as a therapy animal first, and then will learn how to be a first responder to crime scenes.
His Instagram account, which was just created last week, already has pictures of his graduationΒ from puppy training, him checking out other pups for Crisis Response Canine positions and even features a hand-written letter from Arizona Rep. Martha McSally.
The account has only been up for a little over a week, but more than 150 people have already started following his training journey.Β Β
One account @susanmahne wrote "Mark Napier might be the sheriff, but I think Deputy Leo is going to run to show." That, along with a large amount of heart eye emojis and "so cute!" comments, it's safe to say that people love seeing more of the little deputy.Β
Leo still has many months of training ahead of him, Sgt. Jill Isely,Β supervisor of the Mental Health Support Team, said earlier this fall.Β But in the meantime, you can follow his progress (and cuteness) online at @deputy_leo, and by following the hashtag #pimalovesleo.Β
