"This is what I deem at this point to be a lethal force encounter," says Marana police officer Michael Rapiejko in a recorded interview about the incident released today. "I have two thoughts that go in my mind: I need to shoot him to stop the threat or I need to run him over to stop the threat."
An interview with Marana police officer Daniel Rowan, whose car Rapjejko sped by to hit the suspect, was also released.
