Tucson police: Motorcyclist killed in crash

A motorcyclist was killed Friday night in a crash with a pickup truck, Tucson police said.

About 9 p.m. Gregory Lee Campbell, 62, collided with a 2007 Dodge Ram as it was making a u-turn on East Tanque Verde Road near North Kolb road, police said in a news release.

Campbell, who lacked a valid driver’s license or a motorcycle endorsement and wore no helmet, was speeding eastbound on Tanque Verde Road when he struck the pickup truck, the release said. He died at the crash scene.

The unidentified 29-year-old woman driving the Dodge was not injured.

No citations have been issued and the crash still is being investigated.
