A driver is in custody after leading Sheriff's deputies on a short chase on Tucson's east side Thursday night.
The vehicle crashed near the Speedway Boulevard and Houghton Road intersection after hitting another vehicle, according to Deputy Cody Gress, a Sheriff's department spokesman.
He said no injuries where involved but a deputy's vehicle was also sideswiped in the collision.
Deputies have shut down the Valencia eastbound roadway. Drivers should avoid the area.
The department's traffic unit is currently investigating the crash.
