Access to Mount Lemmon has been closed due to hazardous conditions, authorities said Saturday afternoon.
Mount Lemmon Highway has been shut down at milepost 0 because ice is on the roads, said Ryan Inglett, a Pima County Sheriff's spokesman.
Sheriff's deputies are only allowing residents and employees access to the roadway.
While deputies can close down the roadway, they cannot determine when access will return to normal, Inglett said. The Pima County Department of Transportation must determine when the roadway can reopen.
