Could Swifties help David Garcia win in November?
At least one Garcia staffer thinks so, asking Taylor Swift to come to Arizona to help the Democratic candidate for governor campaign.
Former Congressional District 2 candidate Billy Kovacs, who is Garcia's political director, asked the musician how many retweets would it take to convince her to make a stop here in Arizona.
Hey, @taylorswift13 , how many retweets would it take for you to come to Arizona to help get David Garcia elected? @dg4az needs millennials to understand that his opponent wants to kill public education, he refuses to support the ERA & suppresses sensible gun regulations.

A post by Swift earlier this month supporting Tennessee's Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen reportedly boosted voter turnout in the state and nationwide.
Some political experts have cast doubt that Swift's political influence could sway elections.
Historical trends show that the national average for the youth vote — those between who between the ages of 18 and 29 — is about 25 percent, lower than other age groups.
Tomorrow, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is making stops in both Tucson and Phoenix in attempt to get out the vote for Garcia.
