World Care

Mission: To provide humanitarian relief by recycling surplus materials and supply to create resources for health, education and sustainable communities in Tucson and worldwide.

Wish list: Computers and laptops; shelving racks; durable medical equipment; hygiene supplies; basic medical supplies: gauze, bandages, antibiotic ointment; part-time volunteer to help organize donated supplies (15-20 hours a week); shampoo, conditioner and body wash; old textbooks; monetary donations.

St. Michael’s Social Action Committee

Mission: “Seek justice, correct oppression; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” (Isaiah 1:17)

Wish list: Small, sometimes-overlooked, socially committed nonprofits that want free space to sell their wares at St. Michael’s International Holiday Bazaar Dec. 5-6; sponsors to offer tax-deductible honoraria for musicians who play informally during the bazaar (sponsors will be acknowledged at the event).

Mobile Meals
of Tucson

Mission: Provides daily meal delivery to clients’ homes to ensure adequate nourishment and maintain strength, and medically tailored diets to improve physical health and help clients manage chronic illnesses.

Wish list: Drivers to volunteer one to two hours once a week to deliver’ meals to homes; substitute drivers on an on-call basis (mileage reimbursement is available); office volunteers to perform various administrative duties (answering phones, data entry, and filing; average time commitment is three hours, one day a week, morning).
