The Tohono O'odham Nation recently released a six-minute video detailing the tribe's objections to the border wall President Trump seeks to build.
The tribe notes that its people have lived on the land "since time immemorial" and the nation was only divided by an international border by The Gadsden Purchase of 1853.
"Long before there was a border, tribal members traveled back and forth to visit family, participate in cultural and religious events, and many other practices. For these reasons and many others, the Nation has opposed fortified walls on the border for many years," the tribe wrote on its website.
