Things you can't bring into a UA game
- Updated
Gone are the days when you could take your backpack into a football game, thus sneaking in a snack or two. Increases in security mean you must be transparent. But even that has caveats. No tinted plastic bags, printed transparent totes or mesh bags are allowed. University of Arizona Security has made no mention of deep pockets, cargo pants and the like, but you'll need an ID and tickets, and they have to go somewhere.
No laptop bags or cases

- Updated
No laptop cases allowed. There has been no mention about whether laptops themselves are permitted, but you'd have to hold on to that laptop for dear life when in jostling crowds. Perhaps that term paper should be written before or after the game. Exceptions are made for reporters, who don't enter with spectators, covering the game.

No camera bags allowed. There's no mention of the cameras themselves, but like a laptop, you'd be taking a risk if your camera isn't protected in a bag. There's always the cell phone. Again, an exception is made for media.

No camera bags allowed unless they're clear and are smaller than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. Cameras are fine but this is what the Tucson Rodeo website says about photography:
"Tucson Rodeo will allow photography and digital image capture of the rodeo for private and personal use, as long as this activity does not interfere with the ability of other spectators to view the rodeo and the photographer does not occupy seats he or she has not purchased. Camera bags (unless clear), camera tripods, monopods, or single purpose video cameras are not permitted."

No purses
- Ron Medvescek/Arizona Daily Star
No purses allowed. If you can't take a fanny pack into a game, a purse will never make it through the gate. The rule is that a purse must be the size of a hand or smaller. Most women's wallets aren't that small.

No large seat cushions
- Arizona Daily Star
No large seat cushions that have covers, zippers, pockets or compartments allowed. Dimensions aren't provided, so what is large? To avoid the risk that you'll have to hike back to the car, leave the cushion behind and accept the hard seat.
One-gallon plastic bags allowed
- Arizona Daily Star
All those things you would have put in a purse, backpack, fanny pack or diaper bag are permitted as long as they are in one clear, gallon-size plastic bag. That's where you can keep your ID and money. That's convenient, right?
