The 31st El Tour de Tucson was the first in the rain. Star photographers documented the riders sloshing their way to the finish during the 2013 race.

Tim Ragle from Oracle fixes a flat along along W. Moore Road more than 70 miles through the 107 miles race during El Tour de Tucson bicycle race in Tucson, AZ. Like many he still kept a smile on his face. "It's still better than working", said Ragle.

Weather was a formidable foe for many riders during El Tour de Tucson. Gill Evans sits shivering in the back of a a van as Randilyn Jager.massages her calves for warmth at Girl Scout Troop 753's Aid station 12 on Moore Rd. and Yellow Orchid Dr. Evans came here from Toronto for the race expecting more mild weather. "You really need right rain gear." said Evans.
