Firefighters and paramedics of Tucson Fire Battalion 1 train to rescue a person trapped in a flooded Santa Cruz River at St. Mary's Road in advance of the first blast of monsoon weather. Nearly 600 members of Tucson Fire's four battalions of fire units will be training throughout the city in June on all aspects of technical rescues to be ready for the upcoming monsoon season.
