Demolition of the Century Park 16 theaters on Grant Road at I-10 began on Feb. 20, 2023. The theaters closed in 2011, after they were purchased by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe

The Century Park 12 opened in October, 1989. At the time, it was the state's largest theater, with 3,600 seats. It replaced the Tucson 5 Drive-In at the same location. It was the fourth indoor, multi-screen operation in Tucson.

Opening night movies included "Rain Man," "Die Hard," "Moonstruck," and "Good Morning, Vietnam."

Century Park expanded from 12 to 16 theaters in 1994. Three domed theaters were added.

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe plans to build the casino on Grant Road, near Interstate 10, where the Century Park 16 theaters once stood.
