No one was injured when a single gunshot was fired inside the Tucson Mall shortly before noon Tuesday.

Tucson police said one man has been detained and the incident is being considered “isolated” rather than an “active shooter” situation.

Firing of the gun is being investigated as an aggravated assault that occurred about 11:45 a.m. near the mall's food court area, police say.

Details remain limited.

Police said parts of the mall will be made inaccessible as the investigation continues.
