Police arrested a 25-year-old in connection with the fatal Jan. 23 shooting of another man in a north-side Tucson home.

Arnolfo Gabriel Valdez was arrested at his home near Fort Lowell Road and booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, two counts of being a prohibited possessor, and drug possession, the Tucson Police Department said in a news release Friday, Jan. 30.

Bond was set at $1 million.

Police were called to a home in the 2700 block of North Estrella Avenue about 4:15 p.m. Jan. 23 for reports of a shooting. They pronounced Mitchell James Bramhall, 26, dead at the scene.

Valdez and Bramhall were acquaintances who had recently had a falling out, police said. Police say Valdez shot from outside into the home, striking Bramhall.
