Tucson police are responding to a fatal pedestrian crash on the west side, authorities said.
A woman has been pronounced dead and West 36th Street, between South Lands End Road and South La Cholla Boulevard are closed to traffic while detectives investigate the incident, said department spokeswoman, Sgt. Kimberly Bay, in a Tweet.
The road is expected to remain closed until about noon, Bay said.
