A Vail teacher was selected as an Ambassador of Excellence by the Arizona Educational Foundation.

Christine DeBono, a math teacher at Cottonwood Elementary School, is one of five Arizona teachers selected for the program. One of the five will be named the Teacher of the Year.

DeBono and the others will be honored at a luncheon Nov. 17 at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.
