Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas is returning to Tucson to follow up on the community’s concerns about K-12 education today and Thursday.
In April, Douglas embarked on the statewide “We Are Listening” tour, hearing out community members about teacher pay, standardized testing, Common Core, state funding and other issues.
On Wednesday she will speak at Canyon del Oro High School, 25 W. Calle Concordia, from 6 to 7 p.m. to share what she plans to do about it. She will also take questions.
That will be followed by a stop at Catalina High School, 3645 E. Pima St., from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19.
Both events are open to the public.
Tucson is Douglas’ last stop on what has been dubbed the “We Heard You” tour.
