A Tucson charter school was named Charter School of the Year.

Academy of Math and Science-Prince, 557 W. Prince Road, which serves about 420 students, received top honors from the Arizona Charter Schools Association.

The school focuses on science, technology, engineering and math. It provides a well-rounded college-preparatory education, the association said.
