A fiery fatal crash with an overturned vehicle is impacting traffic on Tucson's southeast side, north of Rita Ranch.
The crash occurred at South Houghton Road and East Seven Generations Way, according to a Tucson Fire Department official in a tweet at about 5:30 p.m.
Houghton Road is closed between East Bilby to East Irvington roads, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
One person was transported to a hospital by Tucson Fire Department paramedics, said fire Capt. Andy Skaggs.
More than one vehicle was involved in the crash, said Skaggs. He said he could not comment further.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
