Tuesday is last day to register to vote in Tucson's general election

The last to register to vote in Tucson’s general election is Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The city’s voters will elect the mayor and City Council members in wards 1, 2 and 4 on Election Day, Nov 7.

Voters will also decide the fate of Proposition 413, a ballot measure to increase the mayor’s yearly salary from $42,000 to $95,750 and council members’ from $24,000 to $76,000.

Voters will also decide bond measures for the Tucson Unified and Sahuarita Unified school districts.

Override elections are on the ballot for Altar Valley Elementary School and the Flowing Wells and Sunnyside Unified school districts.

All ballots will be mailed out by Oct. 11. The last day to return your ballot by mail is Oct. 31, but drop-off ballot locations will be open from Oct. 11 to Nov. 6.

Replacement ballot centers and drop-off locations will be available from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
