The sheriff's department has closed Mount Lemmon Highway at the base, due to inclement weather conditions.

Several hours after inclement weather forced authorities to close Mount Lemmon Highway to traffic, it's been reopened to the public, officials said.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department is advising visitors to drive with caution and beware of ice.
