A storm system moving through Southern Arizona will bring scattered rain to the valley and light snow to the mountains today through Friday evening.

Snow levels will be generally above 8,500 feet, according to the National Weather Service. That means Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalinas could see some snowfall. Expectations are for about 1 inch to 2 inches for the highest mountaintops in the region.

At lower elevations expect mostly scattered rain showers, some heavy. Some of these storms could produce hail, the NWS said.

Highs Friday in Tucson will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s; overnight will dip into the upper 40s to low 50s.

Saturday will see mostly clear skies in the lower 70s, with overnight temperatures again in the upper 40s to low 50s.
