The Connector Trail links the visitor center with a large parking lot adjacent to offices of the rescue association.

The overflow parking lot north of the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center will close for the summer season starting Monday, May 1.

The lot will reopen next season to accommodate an increase of visitors over the fall, winter and spring months, according to a Coronado National Forest news release.

At the same time, the Palisades Visitor Center on Mount Lemmon will expand operating hours to seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., starting May 1 through Oct. 31.

Passes can be purchased at the center, which also offers information about trails, campsites and other recreation opportunities.
