A dance studio franchise, started by the dancing master himself, is opening a second Tucson location.
Fred Astaire Dance Studios leased 4,097 square feet of space at 7315 N. Oracle Road in the center known as Two Oracle.
Located on the northwest corner of Oracle and Ina roads, the center is now fully leased.
The landlord, Larsen Baker, was represented by its broker Isaac Figueroa and the tenant was represented by Scott Ellsworth, with SRS Real Estate Partners.
Fred Astaire co-founded the dance company in 1947 on Park Avenue in New York City.
He wanted to ensure his technique would be preserved and passed on.
“Some people seem to think that good dancers are born,” Astaire once observed. “All the good dancers I’ve known have been taught or trained.”
His dance spots are located throughout the world and the Tucson location will be the second local studio. The first one is at 4811 E. Grant Road.
