The initial wave of rainfall is passing through Southeast Arizona this morning, according to the National Weather Service in Tucson. Although it appears from the radar imagery that the showers have an end, the lower level feature in NW Sonora Mexico still has to make its way into Arizona.

In addition to road closures earlier in the day, four more roads have been closed in the last few hours, according to Pima County.

As of 4:30 p.m., Mt. Lemmon had recorded nearly 4" of rain in the last 12 hours.

It’s expected to start to dry out tonight and Tuesday.
