City officials began moving people out of a portion of Tucson's largest homeless camp early Thursday morning, May 23. Police began notifying occupants about 5 a.m. that the clear-out was happening and that they'd need to leave the area known the 100-Acre Wood, which also is called âThe Acres,â and is located near the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
