Pima County Attorney Laura Conover responded to Friday's mistrial in case against Christopher Clements, charged with killing 6-year-old Isabel Celis.
Police were searching for a man suspected in an aggravated assault when SWAT officers tried to stop a vehicle near East Grant Road and North Park Avenue, police said in a news release.
21-year-old Jada Thompson died Christmas Eve night after being shot during a traffic confrontation.
