Re: the July 3 article "Juv. Court picking up children's health tab."
Cenpatico's (out of state for-profit corporation) practice of denying payment for some children's recommended mental health treatment jeopardizes the well being of our community.
Cenpatico is the poster child for corporate greed. They take advantage of the most vulnerable (kids from very low incomes who need help) and shortchange reimbursements to our local mental health providers. Cenpatico's practices are incompatible with common decency, moral values or ethical corporate behavior— neither humane, caring or just.
My spiritual tradition advises us to care for the "least among us." These kids are "the least" among us. Cenpatico is robbing Arizona kids of the mental health care they deserve and we expect, all so Cenpatico's bottom line can be fatter. The surge in treatment denials, even for those whose treatment was recommended, is disgusting, disturbing and unconscionable. Let justice prevail!
