Re: the June 24 column "Tucson's Bruce Ash fighting to quell an RNC rebellion"
In Tim Stellerâs column on June 24, he makes reference to a Green Valley News story about Daniel Hernandez and his failure to be truthful about having a University of Arizona degree. Since having a degree from the U of A is considered a remarkable achievement, knowingly lying about having one is not only disgraceful but an egregious flaw in one's character.
When running for public office, this issue must be subject to public scrutiny and not panned by the Star writer. Excusing the lack of truth by stating the âmistakeâ will be made whole by taking a course online this summer at the U of A, he tacitly admitted to the lie. Apparently, Hernandez has done some amazing things, but building a public career on the premise of a lie is not admirable.
