Re: the June 12 column "On Trump question, Flake and McSally leave us hanging."
Star columnist Sarah Garrecht Gassen intimates that Senator Jeff Flake and Congresswoman Martha McSally’s refusal of an outright condemnation of Donald Trump, has deeper, darker meanings. ("Flake and McSally leave us hanging.") Hanging for what? It may come as complete shock to Gassen, that most voters do not wait to hear the opinions of other elected officials to determine who they will support.
In some sense, I view this article as nothing more than another liberal attack by association. Failing to throw Trump under the bus seems to be Gassen’s litmus test as a true American. Factually, I am grateful we have such level-headed hard working representatives as Flake and McSally. Especially McSally, who has been tireless in her efforts and success at raising and passing bills that support, benefit and protect Americans of all parties.
No, the only thing these two people have done, is not give you another partisan reason to find fault. As for the presidential candidates, the voters will decide on their own.
