Re: the August 19 column "Ex-manager wants LaWall campaign to pay."
Recently Tim Steller wrote a column about a lawsuit being filed against Barbara LaWall in justice court. The Star chose to print it less than two weeks before the election. This suit, which was extremely minor and totally legally unworthy, was obviously contrived to manipulate the Star. I, and many others, find the journalistic ethics significantly troubling. Barbara LaWall is as fine a prosecutor as there is, and I, for one, am grateful that she chose to subject herself to one more campaign.
