Re: the Feb. 24 article "McSally's answers frustrate at town hall"
Thank you for the article about Congresswoman McSally's Town Hall meeting last week in Green Valley. It was informative and fair.
I was interested in the report that she gave long answers despite the audience demanding short "yes" and " no" responses. Was the purpose of long answers to promote confusion and/or a ploy to avoid more questions?
The article mentioned that McSally did not show up that day for a later town hall here in Tucson. Sen. Jeff Flake, like McSally, did not show up (or reschedule) an open town hall meeting at the IBEW Union Hall Thursday evening. I attended that meeting along with 40 other Tucsonans.
We must insist that our Congressional representatives meet with their constituents in open meetings and with honest intent. They represent our interests and values.
