Re: the June 18 article "Last races looming; rescue groups see more greyhounds."

Arizona Department of Racing spokesperson said they are not tracking where each dog is going but ensuring all the paperwork is filled out correctly. So where is the paperwork going and is that a matter of public record?

Isn't it just like regulatory agencies to shirk their duties at the dogs’ most crucial time of departure?

Doesn’t ADOR remember that in 2005-06 more than 150 greyhounds disappeared from Tucson Greyhound Park never to be found? No sanctions were ever brought against the track and the hauler lost his license.

Between 150 and 170 dogs are still going to racing servitude elsewhere. God help them as the racing industry continues to exploit them.
