The criticism of teens making pies for the firefighters of the Burro Fire was way out of line. How can anyone criticize an act of kindness?
True, there are other things that these brave firefighters need, but a little gift of love can't hurt.
The article "Appreciations, not pies, are what Southern Arizona firefighter need" is hurtful to those taking time out to bake these tokens of appreciation.
I was quite surprised at the Star for printing such a slam to these kind teens: usually, the Star is positive, especially where teens are concerned.
