Re: the Sept. 8 column, 'A generous act, such as walking dogs, can soothe the soul'

Thank you for the commentary by Sarah T. Evans about walking dogs at Pima Animal Care Center. As a volunteer at the Animal League of Green Valley, I have witnessed the wonderful benefits of dog walking first hand. So many in our community help this way and it generates many smiles — from both dogs and people.

I have met many PACC volunteers at PetSmart showing their dogs, and every time they really make a positive impression. I would ask everyone to find a way to help PACC or the Animal League get more dogs and cats adopted.
