Re: the July 25 column "Housing not likely to wait once Wilmot's dirt is paved."
I'm happy for South Wilmot Road residents — a paved road. For many years another area has been neglected: Old Vail Connection Road, especially at the intersection of South Country Club, which thanks to Ward 5 of Tucson, gets bladed twice a year, and we're grateful for that and providing access.
This backyard of Tucson is populated by approximately 600 families that have an address in the county and so are not eligible for any road improvements from the city. In the meantime, dust hazards and criminal activities continue to be a normal way of life for this community.
