ANTIOCH, Calif. — A security guard who saw a woman drive off a San Francisco Bay Area marina helped pull her to safety and then watched her get arrested for a misdemeanor drunken driving.

KNTV reports that Antioch Police Sgt. Rick Smith says the 41-year-old Oakland woman was taken to a hospital. Her condition was not available Friday. Her name and age were not released.

Authorities say the call for help came in Thursday about 10:30 p.m.

David Quintanilla, who works security at the marina, says he saw the woman drive "recklessly" in the parking lot of the marina and speed off the dock, the station reports.

Quintanilla shouted at her to take off her seatbelt and pulled her through the window.

Battalion Chief Jim Huntze says rescue crews from the Contra Costa Fire Department hauled her car out of the water.
