The temperature in Tucson hit 90 degrees Wednesday afternoon for the first time in 2016.

The National Weather Service reported the mercury hit 90 degrees at 2:54 p.m. The last time Tucson saw 90 degrees was Oct. 16, 2015. The highest February temperature recorded locally was 92 degrees on Feb. 14, 1957.Β
