She made world headlines when she stormed a prime-time news broadcast on state television in Russia to protest the war in Ukraine. Marina Ovsiannikova was placed under house arrest and faced up to 10 years in prison for speaking out against Russia's armed forces. She has since escaped prosecution in Russia and released a book describing what she calls the media "propaganda factory" in Moscow. She was in Paris today to talk about her experience.
